Japanese Vintage Awase Kimono – Red Plaid Check with Momen Kasuri Ikat Motifs, 100% Cotton Lined Kimono, Unworn

A warm and richly textured vintage awase (lined) kimono woven in a vibrant red, golden yellow, and orange plaid check, accented with traditional kasuri (ikat) motifs. A bold yet cozy piece with a folk-art character, perfect for autumn and winter casual wear.

The kimono is made from 100% cotton in the traditional momen kasuri (cotton ikat) style, with a fine, ribbed woven texture. The tartan-style check pattern combines crimson red, amber gold, burnt orange, and thin lines of teal, gray, and cream, while small white and rose-toned kasuri motifs, including cross-shaped and arrow-like designs, are scattered across the body, sleeves, and collar. The pattern is woven into the fabric, which gives it a lovely depth and a handcrafted feel. The kimono is lined with white and orange fabric, with the orange showing at the hem.
